The Arijah Children’s Foundation

The Arijah Children’s Foundation was created as a non-profit organization in 2006 to serve special needs children in Anguilla. By establishing a centre where childhood can blossom and capacities and skills are awakened, nurtured, and strengthened these special children can be given opportunities to develop their potential.
As a result of funds raised to date, the Foundation is serving special needs children through Inspired Child, an early childhood development programme and specialized Therapy Clinics in Physical Therapy and Feeding and Swallowing Therapy.

Wish List
The Foundation continues to progress in its fundraising efforts towards constructing a special needs centre and is seeking donations towards this effort. Donations of labour, construction equipment use, construction materials, furniture or funds would gratefully be accepted.

Job Opportunities
• Special Education Teacher to lead the Inspired Child programme

• Teaching Assistant with experience in special education to assist with Inspired Child programme

Volunteer Opportunities
• Volunteers are needed to assist teachers of the Inspired Child programme with helping special needs children learn basic childhood skills through play and learning activities. Experience with special needs is an asset but not required. Simply having a great love for children all that is needed.
