As part of our Sentence Planning initiative, we need to provide a proper learning environment and suitable reading material to people in prison. Books that will promote learning, stimulate interest and broaden horizons are urgently needed. We also need books for teaching purposes as well as individual learning.

If you have books in good condition that you would like to donate, then HM Prison’s library programme can put them to good use.

Alternatively, maybe you can sponsor a subscription to a publication or magazine?

Or, perhaps you can make a contribution towards the acquisition of new books that are specifically selected to meet the needs of the prison population?
