GOLF ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES, AND AGM MEETING:

There is an action packed agenda for the month of February planned for their membership.

The month will begin with an ABCD Scramble (similar to our January format) on Saturday, 6 February with a 1:00 PM Shotgun Start. Please call Temenos Golf Club Pro Shop 498-5602 by Thursday afternoon, 4 February to sign-up.

Next mark your calendars for the Association’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for 4:00 PM, Wednesday, 17 February, to be held at Roy’s Bayside Grill in Sandy Ground. Our special guest that day will be Mr. Peter Johnstone, former Governor of Anguilla, who was instrumental in the formation of your Association.

On Saturday, 20 February at 1:00 PM there will be a Shotgun start for the annual Peter Johnston Claret Cup Medal Play Championship. Contestants will be competing in both the Gross and Net Divisions. Prizes will be awarded for both groups. Following the Johnstone Cup Tournament, we have planned a cash bar cocktail reception followed by a buffet dinner to be catered by Cap Juluca at the Golf Club. You will be hearing more about the dinner, costs and sign up instruction in subsequent mailings. In order to have more diverse play formats, I would request of each member that you give us information on your level of play. Let me know at pvvyoung@aol.com or Anne van Deventer, Club Secretary and Director of Membership, who is sending this mailing, either your current established Handicap or the approximate average score from recent rounds played. This information will be very helpful to us for future planning.

Lastly, also note on your calendars that we have planned Outings/Tournaments for 13 March, 3 April, 24 April and 8 May.
