New Play Ground Equipment For Prophecy Pre-School

New Play Ground Equipment For Prophecy Pre-School
Prophecy Pre-School is this week unveiling their newly outfitted playground with its impressive outdoor play fort complete with slides, trapeze swings, glider swings, monkey bars and a rock wall. Complementing this set is a playhouse with toy box and sandbox which will bring hours of fun to the children.
This inspiration has been an effort led by parents Mr and Mrs. Greig Hughes of South Hill who have a child attending this school. It is a welcome addition to the holistic development being offered at Prophecy Pre-School where the school seeks to address the growth of the spirit, mind and body. Outdoor activity and exercise are crucial parts of children’s development and happiness so the Hughes family who have always been very community-oriented, were happy to take on the project to raise funds and procure and set up the equipment.
Appreciation is extended to the major sponsors: CuisinArt Resort & Spa, Mr. & Mrs. Ian Edwards of Sunset Homes, Universal Construction, Mr. & Mrs. Peterson Connor of Pete’s Trucking, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Franklin of Arian Freight Services, Mr. Carl Richards, Mr. & Mrs. Greig Hughes of Greig’s Trucking, Anguilla Block & Sand, Mr. John Brooks, Ms. Christabell Connor, Ms. Sharon Richardson, Mr. & Mrs. Godfrey Carty and Mrs. Norma Hughes. Ms. Judith Owen solicited funds for the playground and a number of parents and well wishes raised funds through the circulation of the contribution sheets. Expan Company Limited shipped the playground from Miami to Anguilla on a complimentary basis, Mr. Ian Connor of JTC Customs Brokerage contributed the clearance entry services and the Government of Anguilla allowed duty free concessions. Pat Ban donated the sand for the playground.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the two parents that erected the play house: Mr. Rosmund Davis and Mr. Courtney Morton. Mr. Rawle Hazel, Mr. Eldon Webster, Mr. Rohan Richardson and Mr. Craig Gumbs generously volunteered their time in erecting the entire playground system. A special thanks is recorded in respect of Ms. Theodoisa Isaacs who organized the team of men that erected the playground. In addition, Mr. & Mrs. Ian Edwards of Sunset Homes also sent a team of men to the school to organize an inventory of the playground parts.
Kudos to all involved in this worthy community project which will enrich the experiences of Anguilla’s children over the years.
