Government approves Official Programme of activities for Anguilla Day 2010

 

The Executive Council has approved a wide-ranging programme of activities to commemorate the 43rd Anniversary of Anguilla Day under the theme  “Embracing the Future with Wisdom, Courage and Hope”.

The activities are as follows:

  • 1-28 May             -              Special  Curriculum/Educational Activities in Schools, Special Radio/TV and

newspaper features

  • 6 May                    -              National Day of Prayer
  • 7,8,9 May            -              Yacht Regatta
  • 13 May                 -              LIME-sponsored Spelling Bee
  • 19 May                 -              Art In Motion
  • 20 May                 -              Caribbean Cable-sponsored Anguilla Day Quiz
  • 21,22,23               -              Island Wide Clean Up
  • 27 May                 -              Festival of Choirs
  • 30 May                 -              Ecumenical Church Service
  • 31 May                 -              Official Anguilla Day Parade

-                                  Senior Citizen’s Luncheon

-                                  Anguilla Day Around the Island Boat Race

-                                  Sporting Activities

  • 1 June                   -              Unveiling of Historical Landmarks
  • 5 June                   -              Youth Culture Day
