Think Local, Eat Healthy: A taste of Anguilla’s organics
Following from the Anguilla National Trust’s public showing of “Food Inc.” last month, the ANT is continuing this month with its mini-series on food and agriculture.
The ANT is partnering with Leroy Brown of the Desert Green Organic Unit and Asta Niles, an organic farmer based in South Hill, to present on the nutritional benefits of some of Anguilla’s fruits and vegetables, with a particular focus on spinach and tomatoes.
The ANT invites all members of the public to this informative session about local organic farming. The presentation will be held at the Teachers Resource Centre Auditorium (upstairs, public library) on Wednesday 19 May at 6.30pm
Refreshments are being provided by Brown and Niles who will offer tasty samples of their produce.
