Anguilla to participate in the 2010 ECVA senior women Championships in St. Lucia

 The Anguilla National Female Volleyball team left Anguilla today to participate in the 2010 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) senior women’s championships slated for St. Lucia.  The team is composed of Khalidah Banks (captain), Connie Liburd, Ludiann Leveret, Joylyn Carty, Melissa Mussington, Tavia Nelson, Marsha Edwards, Janai Gumbs, Susan Webster, Garell Davis, Farrah Banks and Michelle Harrigan. The team is accompanied by Mr. Justus Connor (coach) and Mr. Merrick Richardson (manager).    The Anguillan ladies will be looking to produce a very good performance to secure the title for the first time.   The much anticipated event starts on Thursday 24th and finishes on Sunday 27th June 2010.

Mr. Ian Connor has also accompanied the team to St. Lucia but will officiate during the tournament.  Mr. Connor will become the first Anguillan to referee at the ECVA Championships formerly OECS championship.
