Proctors Classic produces fast times

The 2011 Proctors track and field Classic are now in the annals of history but the performances will make it a very memorable event. Two such performances came from the tall and fleet footed Zharnel “Zhar” Hughes (Black and Gold track team). He blistered his competition and the track with two impressive hand times of 10:24 seconds in the 100m dash and 21.61 in the 200m dash. His nearest competitor in the hundred, the national junior record holder Keron Rogers (AXA trotters) was a distant second in 100m with a time of 10:88 seconds and in the two hundred Mike Destine with a time of 22:07 seconds.

The 400m produced some fast times for the Under 20 males and females categories. Princess De Ann Rogers (AXA trotters) ran away from her competitor with a time of 58: 62, while Nicolas Hughes (Black and Gold track team) produced a relatively good time of 51:37 seconds. The fast times produced by several athletes leaves the mind hungry to see what will happen during nationals and the ALHCS sports day.
