The 2011 Ashley Brooks Road Relay, Sunday 6th March

The legacy of the Ashley Brooks Road Relay grows continuously as the caliber of competition and spectator support increases. For the past several years many brightly coloured spectators, can be seen lining the streets of the Valley, cheering and living vicariously through the athletes. This event has become a staple of the Anguilla Amateur Athletics Federation and it is relished by all athletes on the island.

Consequently many athletes have been practicing and sharpening their strategy for this event. The athletes from Valley Primary School will be aiming to maintain their dominance in this event. However, unmentioned sources have stated there will be a change in the pecking order.

The Ashley Brooks Road Relay is a good reflection of the nature of the sponsor, friendly, respectful and a tenacious competitor. The Anguilla Amateur Athletics Federation would like to express its gratitude to the family of the late Mr. Ashley Brooks for continuing to sponsor this event. Please note the Road relay starts promptly at 2:00pm at the Ashely Brooks Supermarket in the Valley.
