World Athletes Day perfect build up for Leeward Islands Youth track and field Championship

World Athletics Day was observed over the past weekend here in Anguilla with a track meet at the Ronald Webster Park. Athletes from the various Primary schools and the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School participated in events such as hurdles, cricket ball throw, shot put, 100m and 400m dash. The meet also served as a preparation meet for this week’s Leeward Islands Youth Track and field Championship which will feature athletes from Antigua and Barbuda, St.Kitts and Nevis, The B.V.I, the USVI, ST.Maarten, Montserrat and host Anguilla. Below are the results from the track meet.
